![]() ![]() ![]() Would South Park be the same without Cartman? If our number one episode is anything to go by, the answer is definitely no. Trey and Parker have since acknowledged they used the case as a starting point for the episode, and the result is one of the funniest and occasionally heartbreaking South Park episodes ever created. Terri Schiavo, a woman in an irreversible vegetative state whose legal guardian argued for her right to die, passed away just hours after this episode aired. However, it’s the real-world debate surrounding this episode that made 'Best Friends Forever' so controversial. The media frenzy around the case then grows and grows as Kenny's legal guardians argue for his right to die.Ĭartman eventually hijacks the search for Kenny’s will so he can get as much attention and money as possible, plus a ludicrous Heaven verses Hell battle, involving a golden PSP, takes place. After a conversation with God, Kenny gets brought back to life and put on life support. Their tactic worked to devastating (and tragic) effect in 'Best Friends Forever', which sees Kenny become addicted to the then brand-new PSP until, typically, he dies. Unfortunately due to the controversy surrounding Muhammad, the episode isn’t generally streamed or re-aired.Trey Parker and Matt Stone often work on episodes until the last possible moment so the show can be as timely as possible. The season’s highlights are the “200” celebration episodes and the “Coon and Friends” episodes. There are cringy moments (like having Osama Bin Laden crash planes into invading Jersey Shore cast and people), but mostly, the series is a smart satire of current events…which is something it wasn’t at its onset. It is buoyed by smart writing and even the occasional messes are better balanced. While some shows in similar veins are more hit-or-miss, South Park is more consistent. What secrets hide behind the box of censorship?!?! ![]() Though it is almost always off-color, the series does it in a way that is reflexive and questions the PC society… South Park often is laugh-out-loud comic genius. South Park continues to evolve and form a great means of critique. The season received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Animated Program (“200”/“201”). The season faced controversy involving “200” and “201” which led to challenges by the network over the portrayal of Muhammad leading the network to censor the show without creators Parker and Stone’s permission. South Park-Season 14 aired on Comedy Central from Mato November 17, 2010. Plus when BP accidentally unleashes Cthulhu on the world, the only people who can save it is Coon and Friends…but Coon is leading Cthulhu’s charge! A war with all those hurt by South Park could end with a massive battle of the Super Best Friends for the fate of the small mountain town. South Park is more fun than an orgy of chimps!ĭanger is lurking South Park as the sins of the past surface. ![]()
